Feel the sorrow - art Journaling the sorrow away

Hello and welcome
My father died unexpectedly the night of January 17. It was a big shock and I have a very difficult time now. I thought he would live for many years yet. That we would experience several days together and that he would experience many nice moments with his grandchildren and great grandson. I was wrong.

In my greaf I find comfort in art and in my art journal. So this page is my expression of my sorrow:

Even in the darkest days there is a shade of colors.

In what way do you deal with grief? Music maybe? I think music can also be a help in grief.

The funeral will be on Thursday. Then that is the last goodbye. After that we have to try to live - laught, love, dance and sing.

Tell someone dear "I love you", today. Tomorrow it could be to late.

Thank you for visiting. Take care!

Hugs, Anita

Create your own sunshine by thinking beautiful thoughts - Kunst som terapi

Klem, Anita

My thoughts - My Art Journal - Always kiss me goodnight

Always kiss me goodnight

Sometimes when the days are the darkest, I'm very happy that I have my hobby, and that I am an art journalist. Then I disappear into my room and Paint, Stamp and draw me a better day. I can express my feelings through the art and do not have to relate to people who may not understand and just makes my day worse....

I have a disease that is very difficult to understand. Even for me. I was told to live with it and not fight it. It is very difficult, but I try. I realy try.

This page I made yesterday when I suddenly came to think that; I want to be loved, I want to be useful and not least I want to live. This was the result of my thoughts yesterday:

Always kiss me goodnight

It's a Norwegian proverb that says: "Elsk meg når jeg fortjener det minst, det er da jeg trenger det mest". And that is soooo true.

I wish you a very nice weekend and I hope you soon will come back.
Please leave me a comment - I very much appreciate it! ♥ Take care!

Hugs, Anita

Art Journaling with Tim

Hello and welcome

I got totally random over this blog called Vintagejourney and they have going on a challenge called Art Journaling with Tim and I thought hmmmmm this is just perfect for me. Because I love Tim Holtz's stuff (you know what I mean) and I love Art Journaling so here I go. This  is my contribution to the challenge:

Ps. I am sorry for the quality of the photos.

In my big Dylusions Creative Art Journal from Ranger I've used Tim Holtz tissuepaper Melange, I've used Tim Holtz Butterfly stamp from the Perspective collection, I've used - of course, Distress Ink in brown colours and some purple, and I've used Tim Holtz Small Talk.

At the background I used Tissue paper from Tim Holtz Idea-ology and colour it with brown and purple Distress ink with the mini blending tool. The picture I find in my stuff, used my patternscissors and cut it out, then I coloured around the edged with Distress ink Vintage Photo.

I used a Manilla Tag for the sentence and inked around the edged with my mini blending tool.

Then I glue some ribbon at the botton of the tag.

I stamped the butterfly with purple and pink Distress Ink on a tag and cut them out.

Then I glue it all down on my page. And it turned out this way. I hope you like it. I do!

With brave wings she flies
and
collect beautiful moments

I had a moment when I created this page. I get peace in mind and feeling kind of happy. It was a moment I tell you.

This is a bit away from my ordinary colours and a bit away from my sort of theme, but I realy liked it and I think I maybe will do more of this colours and theme in the future.

Any way, I'm in on the challenge at Vintagejourney and I do hope you like it.

Hope to see you soon again. Thank you for visiting.

Hugs, Anita

An illustrative Art journal page - the story of my life

Helo and welcome

Today is the day I'm going to tell you my dearest followers and friends whats up. I think there has been enough secrets now and I like to be honest.

I've been a little off and on at my blog now recently and it is because I have been (and is) very ill. Some days are worse than others and then I have to rest and not do anything at all, just lay down in a quiet and dark room.

I'm under examination and have been to many neurologists, now, Wednesday this week I was in the capital with a neurologist. I've always had a thought about which disease who have set up camp with me but I have not until now been the ascertainable from a neurologist that I suffer from M.E. - Myalgic Encephalomyelitis.
I have been referred to the very best specialists in this area in Norway; Haukeland Hospital in my hometown, where  I will get a proper assessment during the spring / summer 2016. As you probably understand by the long wait is very long queue to get to the assessment on the hospital. So I have to be patient and just rest as much as I can - and of course do some art. Art is therapy for me so when I feel a little better and is able to sit upright in a bright room I do crafting.

So, my dear friends this is my life story. And just to illustrate how I am feeling right now I made this Art Journal Page. I think it's speaks for it's self.....

I would greatly appreciate a note from you. Maybe you want to put words in my picture, or just say helo?

Big hugs, Niti/Anita

FORGLEM MEG EI - step by step

Yesterday I told you I had a bad day. Today I'm feeling a little better. A good night sleep is not to overrated, it can heal almost anything. Also the immense grief you get by getting a serious diagnosis of the doctor..... So when I've told it to My family and also tried to get it from a distance I will tell you about it too.
BUT NOW - lets talk about something much more pleasant; this art journal page of mine, and what I've been using and how I built up this page, okidoki? :-)

This time I'd used my big Dylusions Art Journal

then I use some baby wipe and covered the whole page with white gesso

I took a rubber stamps from the beautiful collection En liten hilsen from Rubber Art Dance and stamped Tenker  på deg (thinking of you) sentiment over a old book page

and LOVE from the Arty Hearty collection of Rubber Art Stamps

then I took the heart rubber stamps from Arty Heart Collection of Rubber Art Stamps and stamp some heart over an old book page

with my scissor I cut out the  different peaces in squares and use Matt Gel Medium to glue them down  to my page

I mixed white gesso with some water and brushed the page with gessowash

I used a old stencil, unsure which brand and smeared some Modeling Paste with my sparkel here and there on my page

Then I took my  gelatos and colored the page using my fingers

I took the Rubber Art Dance Stamp from the Artsy Heartsy collection and stamped some more heart on my page

with a ornament Stamp bougth at Panduro Hobby (unknown  name of the stamp) and Archival Brilliance Galaxy Gold Ink Pad I stamped a little here and a little there

THEN, my friend, I find this absolutly specatular flower stamp from the collection called Antique Botanicals of Rubber Art Stamp and  stamp it with Distress Ink. For the leaf I used Distress Ink colour Forest  Moss and embossed it with  Clear Embossing Powder and meltet it with my heat gun

The same  technique i used for the flowers as well. Distress Ink in the colour Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Marmaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glas and embossing them with Clear Embossing Powder. The results became just yammy yammy, don't you agree? :-)

For a frame I glue down Lace around the edge.
Below you see some close-ups of some of the details

I hope you like this journal page and that I gave you a inspiration to make something beautiful. Please give me a comment below,it will be greatly appreciated.

Tomorrow me and  my little sweet family is going by boat to Denmark on vacation. I realy looking forward to it, I just hope its not going to be a storm over the sea... I get very easily seasick.

Hope you have a great summertime! Until we meet again - take care.

Hugs from Niti
