Tips & Tricks Monday - Use your stamps to decorate your Travelers Journal/Planner/Kalender

Hello and welcome,
today it is Tips & Tricks Monday again. Because it is monday. New week, new possibilities, right?

This time I thought to show you that stamps and paint etc. can be used to decorate your calendar or planner. You do not have to buy expensive stickers when you can make it yourself. Much cheaper and much more original:

Here is the outside of one of the notebook inside my Travelers Journal

I made a pocket on the inside. I sew some stitches around the edge before I glued it on.

I used the flower stalk stamp from the Crazy Flowers #1 set to make lines to write on

All the stamps I have used on this project is from Rubber Dance

Here I first stamped the flower, then used white gesso and painted inside the flower. Secondly, I have stamped over there again and voila I got white flowers.

Here is my Travelers Journal on the outside. I have it with me all the time, I write, I plan, I draw, I stamp, I paint, I note. Yes, this is my good companion.

Ticket please - metal in my Art Journal - step by step

Hi and welcome
I think I am in a flow these days. I keep on bursting of all creativity and ideas for new stunning artwork - hihi..... But it is a lovely feeling and I am so pleased that I have the opportunity to make art. And I hope I inspired others to do the same.

Today I'll show you my Art Journal page that was inspired by the Metallica concert me and my husband was on last Thursday in my hometown Bergen in Norway. I hope you know Metallica....If you don't I can briefly tell you that Metallica is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles, California. Metallica was formed in 1981 when vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield responded to an advertisement posted by drummer Lars Ulrich in a local newspaper.
Metallica has been listed as one of the greatest artists of all time by many magazines, including Rolling Stone, which ranked them 61st on its list of The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. So now you know a little of Metallica :-)

I love going to concerts and I'm sure we went for about four or five concerts each year both at home and abroad. Now in September we travel to Stocholm and experience U2 in "Globen", than in november this year it'ss Melody Gardot in Grieghallen in my home town. Earlier this year we experience Ryan Adams, also in my home town. Oh, Lucky me :-)

But now over to my newest page in my big Art Journal from Dylusions. I startet with the background - off course ;) Since the colour of the metal band Metallica is for the most, black, grey, blue, white and gold I og for these five colours on my page. I painted With a brush acrylic Paint and scrub over it With a tongue brush when the Paint where still wet, and use a note stamp to stamp notes here and there.

 

Then I grab my new stencil from Dina Wakley and used black and white acrylic paint and stab the paint on with a mini blending tool from Ranger. I also used a stencil called Dot Fade from Tim Holtz collection. Then I stamped some basic background from Dylusions and the Memoirs stamp from Rubber Dance.   In addition, I stamped notes with gold acrylic Paint.

 

 

I took a Tag and and used it to wipe up the rest of the paint on the workbench so I cut it and stamped notes With gold acrylic Paint, and the Collage Elements I stamp from Rubber Dance and I used the blending tool With Distress Ink black soot around the edge.

 

The guitars and lyrics I found on the internet. And of course the ticket it's my own that I used on Thursday at the Metallica concert. It was a very good concert. Very good music and very good atmosphere :-)

This is a Art Journal page with a lot of texture and colours and  I'm actually very happy with the result. Here I'm using stencils, neocolors II, gelatos, acrylic paint, rubberstamps and white and black Posca pen.

I hope you stay tuned until I come back with more. By the way it has now start raining....again, here in Bergen, Norway so now I have plenty of time to make more art. Never so bad that it is not good for something :-)

Do what you Love. Love what you do - This make me SMILE

Hi again :-)

I promise you to show you what I've been doing for the last past days. And voila - here it is

This is my big Art Journal book from Dylusions.

I startet with gesso all over the page,  so I made balls of paint here and there with the colors pink, yellow, green and blue. Let it all dry and then i came in with Rubber Art Stamps from the collection called Arty Hearty and stamp some heart here and there.

I used a stencil for the arrow-like stuff, and stamped some gorgeous pocket watch from the Rubber Art Stamps collection called Collages Elements. I also drew some curves with my Uni Posca Pen.

Then I came in with a stamp - still from Rubber Dance Art Stamp, from the collection called New Retro Beach.

Then I used paint brush mixed some gesso with water and painted a little here and there with mixed gesso just to make the colour of the paint and the stamps mixed beautiful togheter.

This beautiful flower is from the collection Antique Botanicals. As you can see of the picture below I stamped this flower on top of the gesso.

Then I took a little more paint and painted a little here and there and made some circles with my fingers, and some gold paint and stamp some more of the pocket watch with gold painting.

and did some doodling

Rubber Dance June Colour Challenge

Gooooood morning sunshine! It's a beautiful Day coming up :-)

We who lives in Norway and espesially Bergen this Days have to keep up the positive thougt. It's june 11. and only 8 degrees Celsius outside and heavy rain..... When will we get to experience to feel the summer heat and see the sun?

In the meantime - I create something sunny by the sea yesterday evening and this is my contribution for the challenge over at Rubber Dance:

And here is a picture of what i used. Unfortunately I forgot to bring in the glue and Baking Baper for the picture. I used crumpled Baking Paper to create the sea. And some Mod Podge to glue the pearls and the fishnet.

I DIG GARDENING! - art on canvas

Hi! Long time no see.

I've been very busy lately working on my canvas which is my present for my mum who have birthday tomorrow. She dig gardening. I think she has Bergen's most manicured garden :-)

This art i make on 60 cm x 50 cm canvas. I used paint for background colour with lots of different stencil just for making texture in the background. Wheelbarrow and shovel, I've drawn myself. The butterflies, birds, bublebee, flowers. gras and mushroom is made by rubberstamps, and coloured in with different media, such as dylusions ink spray, Faber castell big brush pens and Distress ink.  I must emphasize that the colors are much stronger and healthier in reality.

Do you like it? I do - and I hope that my mum will like it also : )

This is not all i've been up to. I have also made some art in my journals. As you can see i'am more fond of doing art than writing on my blog. My sparetime goes to art, but I hope you still are with me :-)
