A litle birdie told me.....

Hello and welcome

This is my newest Art Journal page, with some painting, stenciling, stamping and drawing.

I drew the bird on a written sheet, colored him with my Neocolor II and waterbrush, and cut him out and glue him down on my page.

The sentiment stamp is from Rubber Dance and the branch with leaves on it's my own design, homemade stamp.

A little birdie told me that I need to start thinking more of myself and do more of what I love to do - crafting. So that is my promise to my self for the year 2016: make more art ♥

I hope you have a wonderful sunday! Take care and come back soon ♥

The ultimate Christmas house with a little twist

Hello and welcome
I've been very busy lately, both with a few social dinners and family visits, but also accompanied my eldest daughter to the hospital for her monthly medicine. Getting the Multible Sclerosis (MS) medication that she must have take even a whole day at the hospital. A little stress for both mother and daughter. So while we sat there I thought hmmm it's almost Christmas, maybe I should show the stylish Christmas house that I have made in between battles.

And here it is - my christmashouse. I am very proud of the results ☺It was so much fun making this madhouse ☺

And here - just because I like you so much, is a step by step tut. of how I did this marvelous house:

I started with a canvas shaped like a house and gesso it

and took out my tim Holtz stencil called Holliday Knit and stenciled with red and green acrylic paint, like a panel on the house.

the roof is made of watercolor paper in 100 lb, cut into a bunch of small round triangles, and painted with gold paint

then I find my Rubber Dance rubber stamps Giraffe, Deer and Pinecones and stamp them on a tag with Archival Black ink, then I collored them with Distress Ink and cut them out.

I painted with yellow and white in the windows to get the effect of lamplight from the inside of the house. I also stamp the girafe and deer in the window, just to gain a little shade

and here is the animals and the pinecones in color

I stamp the beautiful snowman with Distress ink on a tag

I colored the hat with Distress ink

and the rest of the snowman with promarker pens

I glued a lace ribbon at the transition between the wall and the roof before I glued all the tiles on the roof

I took the snow paint and pushed a litle snow on the roof,  window sills and bottom of the wall with a big brush

I glued some bling up under the eaves for icicle effect

and here is some close ups for my project

Happy colours in Art Journal - step by step

Hello and welcome to my world of art <3

Today I will show you an double art journal page that I'm very proud of.
I will first inform you that I have been inspired by the lovely Mimi Bondi. She is one of the most talented artist I know of, So I dedicate this page to her.

I have used many different colors in bright tones and painted layers and layers...
I have only used my fingers to apply the Paint.

I've also used rubber stamps, gold ink, black ink and stencil.

Here is some close ups of the pages:

For the big elephant I have used stencil. On the first page I've using black Dylusions Paint on the body and bubblegum pink on the ears.

On the second page I lay the stencil down on the page, draw around inside the stencil and then I painted with black paint strokes until after taking away the stencil. Then I used the Dot Fade Stencil from Tim Holtz Collection on the black.

I am very proud of this pages. I think they were absolutely gorgeous, if I may say so. What do you think? Please leave me a comment and also come and visit med again.

Ticket please - metal in my Art Journal - step by step

Hi and welcome
I think I am in a flow these days. I keep on bursting of all creativity and ideas for new stunning artwork - hihi..... But it is a lovely feeling and I am so pleased that I have the opportunity to make art. And I hope I inspired others to do the same.

Today I'll show you my Art Journal page that was inspired by the Metallica concert me and my husband was on last Thursday in my hometown Bergen in Norway. I hope you know Metallica....If you don't I can briefly tell you that Metallica is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles, California. Metallica was formed in 1981 when vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield responded to an advertisement posted by drummer Lars Ulrich in a local newspaper.
Metallica has been listed as one of the greatest artists of all time by many magazines, including Rolling Stone, which ranked them 61st on its list of The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. So now you know a little of Metallica :-)

I'm in for the Challenge Ticket Please over at Simon Says Stamp. Here is the link to the site: http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=2986

And here is my Metallica inspired Art Journal Page - With my ticket as a part of the art:

I love going to concerts and I'm sure we went for about four or five concerts each year both at home and abroad. Now in September we travel to Stocholm and experience U2 in "Globen", than in november this year it'ss Melody Gardot in Grieghallen in my home town. Earlier this year we experience Ryan Adams, also in my home town. Oh, Lucky me :-)

But now over to my newest page in my big Art Journal from Dylusions. I startet with the background - off course ;) Since the colour of the metal band Metallica is for the most, black, grey, blue, white and gold I og for these five colours on my page. I painted With a brush acrylic Paint and scrub over it With a tongue brush when the Paint where still wet, and use a note stamp to stamp notes here and there.

Then I grab my new stencil from Dina Wakley and used black and white acrylic paint and stab the paint on with a mini blending tool from Ranger. I also used a stencil called Dot Fade from Tim Holtz collection. Then I stamped some basic background from Dylusions and the Memoirs stamp from Rubber Dance.   In addition, I stamped notes with gold acrylic Paint.

I took a Tag and and used it to wipe up the rest of the paint on the workbench so I cut it and stamped notes With gold acrylic Paint, and the Collage Elements I stamp from Rubber Dance and I used the blending tool With Distress Ink black soot around the edge.

The guitars and lyrics I found on the internet. And of course the ticket it's my own that I used on Thursday at the Metallica concert. It was a very good concert. Very good music and very good atmosphere :-)

Here is some close ups:

Here is the final result. I am very pleased with it. I hope you enjoyed it and that I gave you some inspiration.

Let art meet art <3

Hope you will give me a comment just so I know you're out there :-) And please come and visit me again soon.

Hugs, Niti/Anita

oh, I almost forgot - I paintet the letters in Metallica with gold acrylic paint. Just so you know it :-)

Do what you Love. Love what you do - This make me SMILE

Hi again :-)
I promise you to show you what I've been doing for the last past days. And voila - here it is

This is my big Art Journal book from Dylusions.

I startet with gesso all over the page,  so I made balls of paint here and there with the colors pink, yellow, green and blue. Let it all dry and then i came in with Rubber Art Stamps from the collection called Arty Hearty and stamp some heart here and there.

I used a stencil for the arrow-like stuff, and stamped some gorgeous pocket watch from the Rubber Art Stamps collection called Collages Elements. I also drew some curves with my Uni Posca Pen.

Here is some close up of the gorgeous pocket watch

Then I came in with a stamp - still from Rubber Dance Art Stamp, from the collection called New Retro Beach.
Then I used paint brush mixed some gesso with water and painted a little here and there with mixed gesso just to make the colour of the paint and the stamps mixed beautiful togheter.

This beautiful flower is from the collection Antique Botanicals. As you can see of the picture below I stamped this flower on top of the gesso.

Then I took a little more paint and painted a little here and there and made some circles with my fingers, and some gold paint and stamp some more of the pocket watch with gold painting.

and did some doodling

Here is some more close up of the finaly results

This Art Journal Page was really fun to make. I hope I have inspired you also to play with stamps and paint.

I think i will join in with this Art Journal page for the challenge at http://ourcreativecorner6.blogspot.co.at/2015/06/what-makes-you-smile.html
because this Art Journal spread make me SMILE :-) And if I win this june-challenge I will smile even more : -))

Doodling, stamping, art, colours, drawing, play with different techniques, colours and materials make me happy and SMILING!
