This one goes out to the one I love - the Queen

Hello and welcome

This one goes out to the one love ♪♪♪♪♪ - my oldest daughter, Linn Therese ♥
Despite the fact that she is seriously ill, she manages to get top marks in all subjects in school, she manages to take care of her five year old son (my grandson ♥), and now she sought in psychology college. That is seven years of School! I am so impressed and so proud ☺ That's why this card is for her. She is the føkkin' Queen of everything! ☺

Linn Therese is proof that if you want something badly enough you'll get it. What does not kill you makes you stronger!

Here the other day I recived a lot of fantastic rubber stamps from Rubber Dance, and this lady was one of them. She is absolutly adorable and she reminds me of a queen.....but not just any Queen, a Queen of fu****g everything ☺
Then I thought of my daughter and the song by REM and get startet my Journey ☺my colorful and stampful Journey.

I've made this card out of trash. My husband bought some boxer shorts on Saturday and I ran off with promo ☺Don't throw anything you might use! ☺

Front
Back

I prime it with gesso using my old credit card. Took a tounge brush and created pattern before gesso dry.

Took a stencil from Tim Holts and some Modeling paste to get even more pattern. Let it all dry smooooothly.

I stamped my Queen from Rubber Dance on tissue paper, and stamp her one more time on some card stock and emossed the purse with Midnight Brown embossing powder from the Color Challenge Mega set from Lindy's Stamp Gang. Then I colored the rest of the purse with my brush and Plumeria Pink from the Color Challenge Mega Set from Lindy's Stamp Gang.

I used my water brush and "drawn" around the subject, then it is easier to tear out the design.

I stamped the Word "Queen" from Rubber Dance on tissue paper as well and used my waterbrush to rip it out.

I stamped With the Vintage Script stamp from Rubber Dance all over the "card" with black Archival Ink, and used Black Soot Distress ink around the edges

Then I used a Matt Varnish spray to set it before I glue down the Queen and the quote with Matte Gel Medium. I colored the dress and the hat with my brush dipped into Lindy's Stamp Gangs Baby Blue Eyes Aqua for the dress, Time Travel Teal for the hat, scarf, and the litle purse, and Creme Brule' Cream for under the hat.

With this I'm in on the Challenge at:

- Our Creative Corner - The Return of the Challenge -  I chose March '15 - "Junk in Your Trunk"
- Lindy's Stamp Gang - with the Sprays in the mounths colour: Time Travel teal, Creme Brule' Cream  and Plumeria Pink, and Embossing powder in Midnight Brown.
- Anything But Cute - Challenge #11 - Crazy For Colour

Step by step tutorial - colourful butterfly

Hi and welcome to my blog
This time I will show you step by step how to do this one like I promised you at my latest post.

If you dont remember it or if you are a brand new visitor of my blog you can take a look by clicking here.

I told you in my post of August 15 (you can find the post here), that we dont have any summer here as I live...... but now we have it! It is an absolutely wonderful weather. Hot and sun from a cloudless sky. Had it like for a week now, yay! :-)

But now back to the butterfly:

1. First smear gesso all over the Art Journal page

2. Acrylic Paint in color light green, green, pink, yellow, ligth orange and purple

3. Add some gesso here and there to tie the colors together

4. Then I added some more Paint in the same colours

5. then some stamps from the Rubber Dance Collection. This beautiful butterflies wings is from the set called Collage Elements I

 6. More stamps from Rubber Dance. This is from the Collection called Antique Botanicals

7. Then I draw a half butterfly with my black pen. I hope you can see it on the Picture below

8. Finaly I used black acrylic paint and paintet around the butterfly wings

 9. And for the last but not least i used the Antique Botanicals stamp from Rubber Dance and emossed them with silver embossing powder, and some doodling around them

And here it is. I hope you like it and that my step by step was inspiring and helpful.

Before the sun rose in the morning this week, I made this little work of art. I am very satisfied with this one.

All stamps I've used comes from Rubber Dance

You are very welcome to visit me again soon and leave me a comment.
Until you visit me again, have a wonderful day!

FORGLEM MEG EI - step by step

Yesterday I told you I had a bad day. Today I'm feeling a little better. A good night sleep is not to overrated, it can heal almost anything. Also the immense grief you get by getting a serious diagnosis of the doctor..... So when I've told it to My family and also tried to get it from a distance I will tell you about it too.
BUT NOW - lets talk about something much more pleasant; this art journal page of mine, and what I've been using and how I built up this page, okidoki? :-)

This time I'd used my big Dylusions Art Journal

then I use some baby wipe and covered the whole page with white gesso

I took a rubber stamps from the beautiful collection En liten hilsen from Rubber Art Dance and stamped Tenker  på deg (thinking of you) sentiment over a old book page

and LOVE from the Arty Hearty collection of Rubber Art Stamps

then I took the heart rubber stamps from Arty Heart Collection of Rubber Art Stamps and stamp some heart over an old book page

with my scissor I cut out the  different peaces in squares and use Matt Gel Medium to glue them down  to my page

I mixed white gesso with some water and brushed the page with gessowash

I used a old stencil, unsure which brand and smeared some Modeling Paste with my sparkel here and there on my page

Then I took my  gelatos and colored the page using my fingers

I took the Rubber Art Dance Stamp from the Artsy Heartsy collection and stamped some more heart on my page

with a ornament Stamp bougth at Panduro Hobby (unknown  name of the stamp) and Archival Brilliance Galaxy Gold Ink Pad I stamped a little here and a little there

THEN, my friend, I find this absolutly specatular flower stamp from the collection called Antique Botanicals of Rubber Art Stamp and  stamp it with Distress Ink. For the leaf I used Distress Ink colour Forest  Moss and embossed it with  Clear Embossing Powder and meltet it with my heat gun

The same  technique i used for the flowers as well. Distress Ink in the colour Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Marmaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glas and embossing them with Clear Embossing Powder. The results became just yammy yammy, don't you agree? :-)

For a frame I glue down Lace around the edge.
Below you see some close-ups of some of the details

I hope you like this journal page and that I gave you a inspiration to make something beautiful. Please give me a comment below,it will be greatly appreciated.

Tomorrow me and  my little sweet family is going by boat to Denmark on vacation. I realy looking forward to it, I just hope its not going to be a storm over the sea... I get very easily seasick.

Hope you have a great summertime! Until we meet again - take care.

Hugs from Niti

Rubber Dance June Colour Challenge

Gooooood morning sunshine! It's a beautiful Day coming up :-)
We who lives in Norway and espesially Bergen this Days have to keep up the positive thougt. It's june 11. and only 8 degrees Celsius outside and heavy rain..... When will we get to experience to feel the summer heat and see the sun?
In the meantime - I create something sunny by the sea yesterday evening and this is my contribution for the challenge over at Rubber Dance:
http://rubberdance.blogspot.com/p/colour-challenge.html

For June our colours are:

Sunny/sand yellow, green and ocean blue.

In addition to our colour scheme, our OPTIONAL theme for June is Sand & Sea

Here is my contribution for this months colour challenge at Rubber Dance. I hope you like it - and that I win ;-)
I used Rubber Dance Art stamps collection called New Retro Beach

Some close up of my card.

And here is a picture of what i used. Unfortunately I forgot to bring in the glue and Baking Baper for the picture. I used crumpled Baking Paper to create the sea. And some Mod Podge to glue the pearls and the fishnet.
