I haven't been everywhere but it's on my list - An art journal spread for a travel dreamer

Hello and welcome!

I love to travel. I have been in many different countries during my almost 50 years of life. I have been in Sweden, Denmark, England, Croatia, Austria, Ireland, Spain, Italy, France, Tallinn, The Netherlands, Thailand, Bali and Mauritius. And of all the countries and cities I've been to, it's one country I totaly falled in love with, and I dreaming of returning to maaaany  many times, and that is Mauritius.
What a wonderful country! A beautiful People! Imagine that so many religions can live so close together on an island without war.....The largest group, 48%, is Hindus. 32.7% are Christians, with the Catholic Church as the largest church community. 17.3% of the population belongs to Islam. And they live together in harmony. I love the Mauritus People.

Me, my husband and our daughter who was one year at that time spend a month on Mauritus in 2014. We also get married there, so I have many good and lovely memories from this beautiful island.

This art journal spread is my homage to the country I felt so deeply in love with.

And with this I also participate in Dina Wakley's and Rangers' #ShowusyourMEdia challenge this month as having theme travel.

A tiny tag inside a tiny junk journal

Hello and welcome,

today I want to show you my interpretation of the August Challenge at Dina Wakleys Media Tribe on facebook.

It's the top of a tiny tag, inside my tiny junk journal. I've used Dina Wakley's Paint in colors Magenta, Lime and Turquoise. The rose is a cut out from a Magazine and the sentence is cut out from a old book ("The sea is never completely black", in Norwegian).

I will soon come back and show you more inside my tiny junk journal. Stay tuned!

I wish you a wonderful and creative day.

Hugs, Anita

A art journal spread for the Mixed Media Art Book Group

Hello and welcome,
today I like to show you an art journal page I did for the Mixed Media Art Book Group as the wonderful Marjie Kemper started the first of August.

The August theme/Book is Dina Wakley's Art Journal Freedom. And that, my friends, is a awesome book! So much to learn and so much teqniques-tips. I'm very glad I bought it even though I had to order it from Amazon and the postage cost more than the book :-) Nowhere in Norway you get such books. It's a lot of pity. Well, okey...

Here is my interpretation of the book page 40 - Combining and page 109 - black and white.

I hope you like it, and that I gave you some inspiration.

Thank you for popping by. See you soon.

Hugs, Anita

I create - that's why I am! - a art journal confession

Hello and welcome.

This is my statement for the #ShowUsYourMEdia:

I create because creating is healing and comforting. I feel alive and happy when I'm create.
Without creating I am empty and unhappy.

I create that's why I am!

This is Dina Wakley's Media Journal - which I love. I have also used her Paints in the colors Cheddar, Elephant, Rosy, Ruby, Magenta and Night, sand Dina Wakleys's tamps and tape.

Love, Anita
