My thoughts - My Art Journal - Always kiss me goodnight

Always kiss me goodnight

Sometimes when the days are the darkest, I'm very happy that I have my hobby, and that I am an art journalist. Then I disappear into my room and Paint, Stamp and draw me a better day. I can express my feelings through the art and do not have to relate to people who may not understand and just makes my day worse....

I have a disease that is very difficult to understand. Even for me. I was told to live with it and not fight it. It is very difficult, but I try. I realy try.

This page I made yesterday when I suddenly came to think that; I want to be loved, I want to be useful and not least I want to live. This was the result of my thoughts yesterday:

Always kiss me goodnight

It's a Norwegian proverb that says: "Elsk meg når jeg fortjener det minst, det er da jeg trenger det mest". And that is soooo true.

I wish you a very nice weekend and I hope you soon will come back.
Please leave me a comment - I very much appreciate it! ♥ Take care!

Hugs, Anita

Some art from the heart and some funny cool things

Helo
I just wanna pop by and show you some of my artwork I'l been doing lately, and tell you that I've had my first post as a Designer over at Rubber Dance Norwegian/Skandinavian Blog, take a look by cliking here.
This Art Journal page as you see below I called "Du er Vakker" - "You are beautiful", just to remind you, and me, we are beautiful just the way we are.

The beautiful Flowers and the butterflies are rubberstamps from Rubber Dance. Rubber Dance is the place you will get all your rubberstamps from. Take a look, they are beautiful, all of them.

On this one below, the birdie one -that's also an Art Journal page. For the background I used gesso then a stencil. This time the stencil is not only as a stencil, but also as a stamp with acrylic paint. And some smaal birdy stamps.
I've jused rubberstamps for the twig and colored it with Distress ink in different shades of green and and Liquid Pearls in the colour Key Lime, the bird is from a napkin that I cut out and clue on the page. The text is a norwegian pun; In the norwegian language can you use the same word on a twig as if you're sad and cry.... Do you get it?
Oh my - I'am so bad in english...Sometime I feel like Petter Solberg, the norwegian race car driver you know :-) Take a look at You Tube and search for "Petter Solberg english" than you know :-))

I am so glad that you came by and visit my blog, and I do hope you will come back soon.
I would be very happy if you leave me a comment.

Psssst: Next time I will show you art on canvas - with a tutorial of course :-)

Jeg liker ikke å snakke - This is my Norwegian kind of art :-)

Hi, it's me again :-)
I promise you yesterday that the next thing i will show you is My newest art on canvas. And here it is :)
Jeg liker ikke å snakke;
da tror jeg ikke meg selv.
Men blomstene her vil takke
allikevel!
Suddenly I realized that I could also take this  peace of art to the Challenge at Rubberdance.blogspot.no. What a brilliant idè ; ) So her I go again. I think I'm addicted....
This applies to participate in the contest:
For May, the colours are bright summery shades of purple, hot pink and sunshine yellow

In addition to our colour scheme we also have an optional THEME: FLOWERS

Here is the link to the May-Colour-Challenge:
http://rubberdance.blogspot.no/2015/04/may-colour-challenge.html

I hope I will win and that I can recive some of the amazing rubber stamps from Rubber Dance Art as prize. They are all gorgeous, but I did find some favorites. That I can talk about another time. Now lets concentrate on my art on canvas.

I did my art on canvas 20 * 20 cm. this time. For the backround i used tissuepaper from Tim Holtz: Idea-ology - melange. I glue this on with mixed media matt. Let it all dry over night, and then I paint over with gesso mixed with water. Let it dry.

Then I came in with acrylic paint with the fab. coulor Pastel Pink, Pastel blue and Pastel Violet. I painted with babywipes so the colour just melted beautiful together. Then i colored the Big Butterfly with Faber Castell Gelatos in tree different pink coulor.

Then I stamped the background with the background collection from Dylusions called Basic Backgrounds.

I Stamped the flowers who is from Tim Holtz collections called Flowegarden and cut them out. I colored the flowers with Distress Ink in shades of purple, hot pink and sunshine yellow ;) Then I stamped the leaves direct on the canvas (this is from Dylusions collection called Around the Edge), and colored the leaves with Gelatos in two different green colour.

The Verse I have taken from a famous Norwegian writer and Lyricer called Arnulf Øverland. He was born in Kristiandsund in 1889, and died in Oslo in 1968.

I written the Verse into a bit of a design sheet, cut it out and glue it onto the canvas and then doodle a "sew edge" around it. I thougt the Verse is beautiful. In english it goes something like this: "I don't like to talk. When I do I do not believe myself, but the flowers here will thank anyway!"
I think the Verse sounds better in Norwegian....  :)

I do hope that I remember it all, but if I don't please do not hesitate to ask if you have any question, okidoki?

In closing I will just show you my mixed medium art collage in my Art Journal that  I received tremendous positive response on Facebook and Instagram. I am very proud of this one : ) What do you think? Did you like it?

I'l be back! In the meantime please write me a comment, just so I know you are out there and watching my art, and hopefully get inspired to do art yourself.

Hugs from Niti : )
