Art journal page with hand carved stamps

Hello and welcome,

I've taken up a fun hobby, stamp carving. It is both fun and relaxing. If you have not tried it before, you have to do it!

I've made a art journal spread using my own carved stamps. What do you think?

The sentence is Rubber Dance stamp

Thank you for visiting. Take care!

Reminder of a fun challenge at Rubber Dance Blog

Hello and welcome.

I just came by to remind you of the fun Challenge over at Rubber Dance blog.

I made this art journal page with some of my favourite stamp set; Textured Houses, for your inspiration:

This is how I did this art journal page:
I started with Dylusions Paint in the colour Funky Fuchsia, Squeezed Orange and Pomegranate Seed and a blending tool on the page. I used some stencils with the same colours over the page to achieve some pattern. Then I used my palette knife and scratched some white paint here and there over the page. I took all those tiny background stamps from the set and stamped (still with the same colours that I've used all the time) over the page. I stamped the houses on a paper called Newsprint and cut them out and glued them down on my page. I took Dylusions ink (as I have filled in water pens) and coloured in some of the houses. I wrote my thoughts with black Stabilo pen all over the page, made some white circles with my fingers and white paint. The heart is stamped in the centre of each circle with Plum Archival Ink. And for the final touch I used Posca pens in different colours and made some splatters on the page. I also scribbled around the white circles and around on the page with grey and black pencil.

Come on and join the fun!

Thank you for visiting.

Sombody down there likes me - a creepy art journal page

Hello and welcome

As I have announced earlier am I one of the lucky MixedUp Magazine Merchandise teamies, and today I want to show you an art journal page I did with the Merchandise Printables.

There are very many cool and fun and beautiful printables in the Etsy store. If you have not visited it yet, you need to do it now by clicking here.

On this project i've used Registrar's Document for the girls dress, I've used Scary Words for the Centiment, and the litle creepy lady is Cabinet Maggie

The face of the girl is cut out from a fashion magazine, and I made some loops of embroidery thread and glued them on to her hair.

My debut on the MixedUp Magazine blog will be at October 5th. I hope you will visit and see what I've made out of these wonderful printables. Here is a sneak peak:

There will also be a step by step on how I did the project. Hint hint 😉

Thank you for visiting. And do remember; somebody down there likes you bwaaaahahahahoohoho....

Collage art in a tiny junk journal - step by step

Hello and welcome

Today I want to show you a collage I made in my tiny home made junk journal.

This is how I made this:

I found a ugly page in my junk journal

I am a big collector of washitape, and now I finally got an opportunity to use some of my Collection :-)

I used my art knife and white paint and scraped a bit on here and there.

Then I used my fingers and even more white paint and made some circles.

I used some Art Crayons and Stabilo All pencil around the circles

On some of the white circles I glued down some old book paper

White and black splatters

I also used my regular pencil and scribble around the circles

Then I fuzzy cut and glued down the butterflies, those two girls and the phrases. I also glued down some black sewing thread behind the elements.

Thank you so much for visiting. I will soon be back, stay tuned!

Aall and create challenge - trip to Asia on a tag

Hello and welcome.

We have been without the internet for a while and finally today we got it back. Amazing how dependent we are on the small cable  😄 So now I have a lot to catch up with.

I will start with Aall and Create ITAC 2017 - Challenge 2, which is Asia, and this is my interpretation of  the Asia challenge:

Motifs inspired by mandalas
· Geometric shapes
· Tiles - ceramic, pantiles, glazed tiles, or their designs...
· Asiatic flowers, such as cherry blossom, chrysanthemum, orchids, lotus, Frangipani, lilies, hibiscus etc..
· Calligraphy or handwriting
· Fabric, faded or dyed
· Powdered pigments

Thank you for visiting. I will soon come back with more fun and some very good news - especially for me 😉
