Digi Junk Journal sneak peak and some collage art journal spread

Hello and welcome.

What's more fun and relaxing than sitting down in the room or by the kitchen table and just painting, cutting, gluing, spraying etc?

Answer: Nothing 😊
This is something everyone should have done. At least once in a while. It's not hard either, it's just to go with the flow.

I have spent a lot of time in my room lately and have very many big and small projects on the go. Today I will show you one of them. You can call it a sneak peak. I will come back and show the finished result, with a flip thru when the book is all done. I hope you will come back then also.

And here is another project. Not so big, but fun. It is in my small Dylusions art journal. Painted and stenciled background and collage/printables on the top.
Very fun, and I am very satisfied with the result.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful and creative day!

A tiny tag inside a tiny junk journal

Hello and welcome,

today I want to show you my interpretation of the August Challenge at Dina Wakleys Media Tribe on facebook.

It's the top of a tiny tag, inside my tiny junk journal. I've used Dina Wakley's Paint in colors Magenta, Lime and Turquoise. The rose is a cut out from a Magazine and the sentence is cut out from a old book ("The sea is never completely black", in Norwegian).

I will soon come back and show you more inside my tiny junk journal. Stay tuned!

I wish you a wonderful and creative day.

A art journal spread for the Mixed Media Art Book Group

Hello and welcome,
today I like to show you an art journal page I did for the Mixed Media Art Book Group as the wonderful Marjie Kemper started the first of August.

The August theme/Book is Dina Wakley's Art Journal Freedom. And that, my friends, is a awesome book! So much to learn and so much teqniques-tips. I'm very glad I bought it even though I had to order it from Amazon and the postage cost more than the book :-) Nowhere in Norway you get such books. It's a lot of pity. Well, okey...

Here is my interpretation of the book page 40 - Combining and page 109 - black and white.

I hope you like it, and that I gave you some inspiration.

Thank you for popping by. See you soon.

The Madonna from Norway - a different art journal spread

Hello and welcome

Today I want to show you a art journal page I did for the Challenge at Aall and Create.
The 1. Challenge is Europe and this is my interpretation of this Challenge:

The base is the Norwegian very well-known artist, Edvard Munch. I have some texture in the background with white texture paste and a stencil, then I draw the Madonna of Edvard Munch on a pre painted paper, and glued her down on my art journal page. For this I use a pencil and the Stabilo all pencil.

I tore some pages out of my French-Norwegian dictionary and glued them down. Some mark making with pencil. Stamped the numbers 1894 and 1895 as are the years Munch used to paint Madonna. And therefore the blue thread that goes through the different elements. My hole pages elements is connected to each others.

AALL and Create: ITAC'17 - Challenge 1 Europe

A face - Madonna
Papers - The drawing and book page
Letters, numbers - Number Stamp (the year of the original painting)
Blue for the colour of the European Union, Union Jack - Blues & Greens
Ribbon, twine, string or lace - Blue Embroidery thread
Textures – take inspiration from history from ancient civilisations to the fall of the Berlin Wall - Texture with Modelig paste and stencil
Something both vintage and modern - Vintage Madonna with Modern drawing

Rubber Dance August theme challenge

Hello and welcome, today there is a new Challenge over at Rubber Dance blog. The theme from today until the 31. of August is Embossing. This means you can enter projects with all kind of embossing on it. This can be heat or dry embossing or embossing paste.

Here is my inspiration for you:

I created a tag using the beautiful Vintage Script, Buzzy Bee and Antique Botanicals.
The background I have embossed with Brown Distress ink and blank embossing powder.

Then I had Distress paint down on my desk and led the tag through this.

I stamped and embosset the flowers with blue and purrple  Distress ink and blank embossing powder, and the Buzzy Bee with black sparkle embossing powder, then fuzzy cut them. I glued them down with 3D glue pad.

I hope to see you in the Challenge. Take a look at the inspiration from my teamies and then join in.

When you order stamps from Rubber Dance shop please use the code ASFreeShip  on all orders over 15 Euros, and you will get free shipping on your entire purchase.

See you soon.

My personal art journal page - Tell through art

Hello and welcome my lovely friends

I am so glad that you are here. Today I want to show you a art journal page as I have done in connection with Dina Wakleys "Show us your MEdia" challenge as of August 16, it's about showing what you say to yourself. And this is my personal  art journal page with my sayings:

This page is in my wonderful Dina Wakley media journal (which I love), and it is burlap. I used my scribble sticks in colours Blackberry and Black to scribble around the midle, this to illustrate my surroundings and thoughts and feelings from time to time.

I have sewn the card in the middle and left the top open so I could use it as a pocket. And in my pocket I have another card with my sentence. I have made a hole in the top and threaded on a ribbon as I have colored myself. The wonderful colours on my biggest card is Tim Holt's Distress Oxide. All of the stamps is from Rubber Dance, and the mushrooms is colored with Faber Castell pens.

I say it to my self all the time - "Today I choose to be happy", why is that you would maybe ask. Why exactly that sentence? Well, thats because  I have and have had many challenges in life and if I can not keep my mood up, if I do not manage to hold on my good mood then everything ends. This art journal page is wery personal for me, but I do not believe in secrecy and to hide things. Why not be open and honest?

I suffer from Myalgic Encephalopathy, and it is a disease with many challenges without going into it in detail. But those of you who have the same disease or have any close who suffer from the same know what I'm talking about.

That's why the sentence to my self: "Today I choose to be happy".

Thank you so much for stopping by. If you have any questions, no matter what, do not hesitate to ask. I respond with pleasure.

I wish you a wonderful and creative day!
