Topsy Turvy canvas

Hello and welcome

I hope you are feeling fine. I am in the mood for something Topsy Turvy today☺ And just because of that I am join in on the Challenge over at Our Creative Corner - which is exactly Topsy Turvy theme.

Today I want to show you this upsidedown canvas I made.

This was really fun. I began to tear various papers into pieces and pasting them on the canvas a litle here and there.

As you can see the canvas is a little bit pink. That's because it is a used canvas that I was not happy with and painted over. So obviously something shining pink through, but it does not do any thing.

Some of the paper I used is actually answers from exam in tax law at the University of Bergen - upsidedown. How cool isent that!☺ The exam are handwritten and the paper are lined so I think they are very fine and can be advantageously used in mixed media art . I've used Matte gel medium to glue the pieces on the canvas and then dried with heat gun.

For the colur I've used Pan Pastel. They are just georgeus!  I have not used them before so I was a little excited about how it was to work with. I loooove them, though!

I though I need a little black so I grab the beautiful Heart from Rubber Dance Arty Hearty and stamp some here and there. I also used a stamp from Pick a number to get some circles, for as you know circles is the shape that appeals to most people. It is researched that circles provides peace and tie together so it suits this piece where everything stands on its head ☺

I used white poscapenn for some splatter, and my paint brush to paint a purple frame in non-perfect shape. That's because in a world where everything is upside down (except your heart) nothing is perfect.

And for that I really would renew me today I've used one of these great chipboards from EyeConnectCraft - the broken heart.

I painted it with gesso first since it is brown basically.

Then I painted it with Purple Dylusions paint and scattered purple glitter on it. I took eyelets in each hole and threaded silver wire through so that the heart was connected. Then glue it with a little glue on each side og the heart on the canvas so it's just stand out of the canvas.

And voila - here it is!

I hope I inspired you to go on with the art, and that in your life sometime the world must be upside down just to get on the right track again ☺

All the stamps i've been used is from Rubber Dance and the lovely chipboard heart is from EyeConnectCraft.
