I create - that's why I am! - a art journal confession

Hello and welcome.

This is my statement for the #ShowUsYourMEdia:

I create because creating is healing and comforting. I feel alive and happy when I'm create.
Without creating I am empty and unhappy.

I create that's why I am!

This is Dina Wakley's Media Journal - which I love. I have also used her Paints in the colors Cheddar, Elephant, Rosy, Ruby, Magenta and Night, sand Dina Wakleys's tamps and tape.

Love, Anita

Litle doll in the frame be authentic one of a kind - A mechanical mixed media canvas

Hello and welcome,

today I want to show you a 3D mixed media canvas I've made. This was SO fun! A lot of layers and metallique. The paper Dolls is soften it up a bit. I really like the result and the play!

This is a canvas in size 17,5 x 23,5 cm. I have used a lot of embellishment that I have glued either with Soft Matte Gel or Glue Gun on my canvas first,

then I paintet it all first with gesso

after gesso was dry I paintet all with Finnabairs acrylic Paint in metallique Emerald green and Deep waters.

Then I did some highlightning with white gesso for interest

I paintet the Prima resin frame with Finnabairs Paint in Opal Magic Violet-green first

I still think it was a bit too light so I used Lindy's spray in the color Baby Blue Eyes Aqua and sprayed a little here and there on the frame.

Now it looks better, and it's time to gather it all together on the canvas.

I painted some metal butterflies in the same color as the canvas and glue them down with glue gun.
The big butterfly is a butterfly that I have printed out from Pinterest, and used several layers of glossy accents, and then I have glued two small pieces of wire as antenna on the butterfly.

The Paper Dolls  in the frame is from Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Collection, the Words is quote chips from Tim Holtz.
The star and the number is Transparent Tiles, Alpha from Tim Holtz Idea-Ology.
The metal gear I do not know where comes from, I bought it on the internet a long time ago.

With this mixed media canvas I join the Challenge at:

Try it on Tuesday - Steampunk/Mechanical
Simon Says Stamp - Touchy Feely
Mixed Media Word - Anything Mixed media Goes

Thank you so much for visiting. Take care!
